Your Questions, Answered
Everything you need to know for an unforgettable night at Santa Barbara's vibrant Latin hub.
What is the dress code?
We encourage you to dress to express! Casual or dressy is welcome—no strict rules. Most guests opt for stylish, comfortable attire perfect for dancing. Think vibrant colors and outfits that move with you.
Is there an age restriction?
Yes, to ensure a mature atmosphere, most of our events are for guests aged 21 and over. Please bring a valid government-issued ID for entry. We occasionally host special all-ages community events—check our Events page for details.
Where can I park?
We're located right in downtown Santa Barbara at 409 State Street. Street parking is available, and there are several affordable public parking lots within a 2-3 block walk. We recommend arriving a bit early to secure a spot, especially on Friday and Saturday nights.
Can I buy tickets at the door?
Yes, tickets are available at the door, but purchasing online in advance is highly recommended. Popular nights like our Friday Salsa Nights can sell out. Buying online secures your spot and often gets you the best price.
Do I need to know how to dance?
Absolutely not! Son Y Sabor is for everyone. Whether you're a seasoned salsa dancer or just feeling the rhythm for the first time, our atmosphere is welcoming and fun. Come to enjoy the music, the community, and the vibrant energy.
What time do events typically start and end?
Doors usually open around 8:00 PM, with the music and dancing heating up by 9:00 PM. We keep the party going until 1:30 AM. Specific times for each event are listed on the event details when you purchase tickets.
